Six peace and anti-nuclear activists blocked a road at Los Alamos National Laboratory on Hiroshima day last August. Five of the LANL 6 go on trial tomorrow, January 9 2013 (the sixth, Dr. Wind Euler, has chosen to represent herself and will be tried separately).
At a legal-defense fundraiser on January 6, the first five spoke to a crowd of supporters in Santa Fe. In the recording that follows, we hear Michelle Victoria of Nuke Free Now announcing the speakers who are, in order of appearance: Barbara Grothus, Cathie Sullivan, Janet Greenwald, Pamela Gilchrist and Summer Abbott. Last to speak is the lawyer for the LANL 6, Jeff Haas. To listen, click here:
Beside collecting contributions for legal and other expenses (checks payable to: VFP Santa Fe-Nuke Free Now (memo: LANL 6 Defense), PO Box 9449, Santa Fe, NM 87504), the activists and organizers ask all of us to COME TO THE TRIAL! We are urged to bring signs to hold outside the courthouse or come inside to bear witness and show support: Los Alamos Municipal Court, 2500 Trinity Drive next to Ashley Pond Park, 9:00 AM.
Readers seeking more information on the trial and how to support the LANL 6 may contact Michelle Victoria and Thomas Jaggers at info@nukefreenow.org or Pam Gilchrist at pam@dtbprojects.com. La Jicarita will continue to cover this story.

First, I want to thank these six activist for making a difference in our world. I wish I was able to be there however due to health issues, I am where I am.
